Cusworth Conservation

The Brand

Cusworth Conservation came to KK looking for a website and brand refresh that matched the high-caliber of work the company prides itself on producing. The goal was to showcase their work in the best way possible, describing the meticulous process and making it easy for customers to get in touch. A fleur de lis logo mark was created to represent the brand due to the owners passion for and history in the city of New Orleans.

The Website

To begin, KK did an inventory of published and archived art as well as a review of the existing website’s architecture and content. A new taxonomy for the portfolio was created and a selection of work was organized and prepared for publication, showcasing the diversity in restoration skills and experience. KK worked closely with owner Christyl Cusworth to get a deep understanding of the restoration process, a typical customer experience, and questions customers might have when reaching out to begin a project.

Inspired by the beautiful art that lined the walls of the Cusworth Conservation gallery, overhead lights and wall-like textures were used to capture the studio’s aesthetic. With incredible before and after images, KK built sliders that allow the user to control the transition from damaged to restored.

The website build implemented SEO best practices, a responsive design to ensure accessibility across various devices, and easy-to-use architecture. The final result is a website that showcases the beautiful conservation work. Cusworth Conservation has received feedback regarding the quality of the website.
